The Third People's Hospital of Guiyang is a third-grade public hospital affiliated to the Guiyang Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission. Specializing in senile diseases, the hospital was founded in 1961 and was formerly known as Guiyang Ganyintang Hospital. The hospital offers medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, disease prevention, health care, rehabilitation and first aid. It covers an area of 31,596 square meters, with a floor area of 23,399 square meters and a business area of 12,000 square meters. There are 370 beds available, 472 employees (284 formal employees and 188 temporary ones), including 437 professional medical workers. 

The specialized fields in the hospital are neurology, elderly cardiovascular diseases; Chinese medicine rehabilitation physiotherapy; minimally invasive treatment of spinal discs; laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery in the treatment of cholelithiasis; minimally invasive treatment of urinary calculi and prostate; phacoemulsification; and physical examination.
