Special job fair held for veterans in Nanming district

Nanming district in Guiyang city held a special jobs fair for veterans on Sept 26, aiming to promote the employment and entrepreneurial skills of veterans, according to officials.

More than 40 companies participated in the event held at the capital of southwestern Guizhou province and offered more than 70 kinds of job positions, attracting over 300 veterans.

According to the local authorities, the recruitment fair specially set up an on-site booth for registration, employment and entrepreneurial guidance, legal aid and policy consultations.

Some business representatives and consultants were invited to give advice and guidance to the veterans.

In addition, consultation booths were also set up in Nanming district's human resources and social security bureau and in community service centers.

These provided policy consultation, career guidance, job information and other services for veterans.

They monitored veterans' employment status and provided targeted assistance.
