Exhibition on calligraphy, seal engraving commences

The second exhibition on calligraphy and seal engravings -- as well as an exhibition on patriotism-themed calligraphy and paintings -- opened on Oct 24 in Nanming district of Guiyang, capital of southwestern Guizhou province.

The patriotism-themed exhibition on calligraphies and paintings especially invited leading provincial and municipal artists and painters and members of Nanming calligraphers and artists association to show their works.

The patriotism-themed event has been staged for 12 years in succession. The 120 works on display are by calligraphers and painters of different ages in Guiyang.

Organizers said the second exhibition on calligraphy and seal engravings features a total of 120 works, including 20 award-winning works.

According to local media reports, the exhibition will run until Oct 29.
