Updated: 2020-03-27

The bureau of commerce of Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- recently issued over 2.56 million yuan ($362,600) of support funds to resident large and medium-sized companies, local officials said on March 24.

It is the first batch of support in funding issued by the district's bureau of commerce, to help tide businesses over difficulties incurred by the negative effects caused by the novel coronavirus and to recover their normal operations.

According to measures to support the stable development of the commercial industry in Nanming district, the bureau of commerce has carried out regular on-site visits to key commerce and trade enterprises in the district, and guided resident companies on how to resume their normal business in an orderly manner, together with the corresponding epidemic prevention and control measures.

At the same time, district officials also learned about the existing difficulties and problems of businesses after the resumption of work.

They explained the relevant support policies for the enterprises according to their needs.

According to officials, they will continue to accept and handle applications for support funds from companies.

It is expected that more than 30 million yuan will be issued in total to help enterprises resume production and sales.
