Guiyang's Nanming district promotes investment

Nanming district in Guiyang -- capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- held a conference recently to promote investment, local officials said

At the event on June 3, there were moves to analyze the problems and deficiencies in the district's industrial development and to further promote investment.

The aim was to boost the high-quality economic and social development of the district.

Local officials stressed at the conference that the district should seize all kinds of opportunities, strengthen its investment attractions and promote high-quality industrial development in Nanming.

At the same time, the district decided to focus on the major areas of business and commerce, the digital industry, culture and medical education. It planned the layout of a medium and high-end industrial chain.

Officials said the district will vigorously promote the construction of a middle and high-end business network system and service chains for logistics, industrial finance, business buildings and community life to build a middle and high-end consumer industry system.

Secondly, the district is aiming to build a high-level digital economic area for the integrated digital industry, integrated circuits industry and science and technology services industry.

Third, there will be a focus on the new generation of the artificial intelligence industry.

Officials said the district will accelerate the construction of a Huaguoyuan digital and intelligent sharing community and promote intelligent governance.

Fourth, the district will take the three major industries -- the cultural creative sector and the medicines and education technology sectors -- as leading target industries to develop.

Officials said that in order to ensure the implementation of the measures, the district will continue to optimize its business environment, improve its capacity to promote investment, strengthen its services and build a good government-business relationship.
