5b yuan in new projects to be built in Nanming district

Worth about 5 billion yuan ($706.51 million), 20 investment projects were inked at an online signing ceremony held by Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province on June 24, according to local officials.

They said the event marked great achievements that were made in investment promotions in the district in the second quarter of this year.

According to district officials, the 20 projects are in the areas of big data, health care, e-commerce, advanced manufacturing and modern commerce.

Moving forwards, the district and the companies will accelerate the implementation of the projects. Officials said that at the same time, the district will make every effort to facilitate their construction and make sure the companies benefit from favorable policies and a more solid development environment.

Officials said that the district will introduce many international and domestic luxury and top household brands through a shopping mall, which will promote it as a leading middle and high-end area for consumption.

The district also plans to create a localization engineering center with NB-IOT -- Narrow Band Internet of Things -- as the core. This will see the development of a service platform around the electronic information manufacturing industry.

At the same time, around the new digital industry, the district plans to build infrastructure for a digital economy cluster.

There will be projects in the field of health care, as well as e-commerce projects.

Officials also said the district is committed to creating a leading poverty alleviation and agricultural aid model in China.
