Nanming strives for high-quality development in 2021

Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, aims for high-quality development in 2021.

In 2021, Nanming's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to achieve an annual growth rate of more than 10 percent, with per capita GDP targeted to grow by 9 percent.

Meanwhile, the added value of industries above a designated size – those with an annual output value of 20 million yuan ($2.89 million) or more – is projected to increase by 12 percent.

The index for industry investment, integration of big data and the real economy and tourism development will remain a top priority for the city.

In addition, the eco-environmental quality index, the achievements of poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and the conversion rate of agricultural products will be higher than the city's average level.

The district will focus on crucial tasks in nine categories, including the digital economy, the modern service industry, the culture industry, opening-up, reforms in key areas, the environment, people's livelihoods and the prevention of significant risks.
