Chinese badminton player Yang Qiuxia wins gold at Tokyo Paralympic Games

Chinese badminton player Yang Qiuxia defeated Japan's Ayako Suzuki in the SU5 badminton women's singles at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games and won gold on Sept 4.

It was the 88th gold medal won by Chinese sports team at this year's Paralympic Games.

The 23-year-old Yang Qiuxia comes from Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

She also won the gold medal at the 2016 BWF Para Badminton Asian Championship. Later, she represented Guizhou province and the national team many times in domestic and international competitions, winning gold and silver medals.
