Nandamen Orchid Roundabout upgraded

The upgrading of the Nandamen Orchid Roundabout in Nanming district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently completed following a construction period of around two months.

The orchid is the city flower of Guiyang.

The center of the Nandamen Orchid Roundabout is a giant orchid sculpture, which echoes the nearby Jiaxiu Pavilion scenic spot and has become a major cultural icon and important landmark in the old urban area of Guiyang.

The upgrading of the roundabout is targeted at a hierarchical layout of vegetation, water bodies, and greening.

The upgraded roundabout added 35 varieties of plants, rockeries, and mist spray systems, taking on a brand new look.
