Nanming sees tourism boom during National Day holiday

Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 1.44 million tourist visits during the recent National Day holiday, a year-on-year increase of 27.24 percent, according to the district's culture, sports, radio, television and tourism bureau.

During the seven-day holiday from Oct 1 to 7, tourism revenue in the district hit 1.3 billion yuan ($195.05 million), a year-on-year increase of 23.27 percent.

Over the seven-day period, Nanming had four hotels with an average occupancy rate of over 90 percent, and six hotels with an average occupancy rate of over 80 percent.

In addition, the district's culture, sports, radio, television and tourism bureau carried out inspections of accommodations and tourism and cultural venues to ensure safety and the strict implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures.
