The upgraded Lyuyuan farmer's market -- located in the Nanming district of Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- officially started operating on Dec 4.
It is one of eight farmer's markets launched by the district for transformation and upgrading this year, in a bid to improve local residents' livelihoods.
The upgraded Lyuyuan farmer's market covers an area of 4,200 square meters.

The market has neat booths, full ranges of products, a clean environment and bright lights. It can perform online and electronic transactions, provide transparent market information, electronic data collection, access to food traceability, digital operations and management and intelligent safety supervision.
On Dec 4-11, there will be a shopping promotion with discounted products and interesting activities and things to do.
