Nanming releases upbeat economic, social development data

The Nanming district of Guiyang -- capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province -- reportedly experienced rapid economic and social development in 2021.

Statistics from a government work report recently released by Nanming showed that last year the district posted a GDP of more than 100 billion yuan ($15 billion), a year-on-year increase of 9 percent.

Investment in fixed assets hit 30.8 billion yuan, up 16.8 percent, while total industrial output value above a designated size came in at 12.05 billion yuan, an increase of 29 percent compared with 2020.

Meanwhile, total retail sales of social consumer goods were 70.2 billion yuan, up 12 percent on the previous year.

In 2021, the general public budget revenue of Nanming reached 2.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.64 percent. The per capita disposable income of permanent urban residents was 44,178 yuan, a rise of 8 percent.

Elsewhere, total imports and exports were worth $1.5 billion, up 51.5 percent. The actual utilization of foreign capital was $233 million, a year-on-year increase of 17.9 percent.

Throughout the year, the funds in place for Nanming's industrial projects came in at 8.54 billion yuan, while 167 new industrial projects and 46 businesses were introduced.
