Commercial economy thrives in Nanming in 2021

In 2021, the commercial economy of Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, achieved leapfrog development.

Throughout the year, the total retail sales of social consumer goods in the district came in at 73.89 billion yuan ($11.09 billion), and its wholesale sales hit 198.08 billion yuan.

Meanwhile, the district's retail sales reached 49.69 billion yuan, the accommodation industry turnover came in at 1.51 billion yuan, and the catering industry turnover was 7.38 billion yuan.

The absolute value of the district's total retail sales of social consumer goods, wholesale, retail, accommodation and catering turnover all ranked first in Guiyang.

Last year, Nanming also cultivated 64 wholesale, retail and catering enterprises above designated size, 50 more than the goal set for the year.

In 2022, Nanming will strengthen visits to key enterprises in various industries to ensure sound operation and help enterprises solve problems related to production and operation.

Furthermore, Nanming plans to continue to organize holiday promotions to promote consumption in the commercial and trade industries.
