Tourism industry to further develop in Nanming

In 2021, 265.08 million tourist visits were made to Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, a year-on-year increase of 46.66 percent.

A total of 42.55 billion yuan ($6.38 billion) in tourism revenue was generated in 2021, an increase of 8.02 percent over 2020.

Meanwhile, Nanming signed agreements for 14 projects integrating tourism and culture in 2021, with a total investment of 10.6 billion yuan.

It has been reported that Nanming's tourism industry comprehensive evaluation index ranked second in Guizhou province.

During the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, Nanming received 339,500 tourist visits and generated 331 billion yuan in tourism revenue.

As of Feb 18, all culture and tourism enterprises in the jurisdiction of Nanming had resumed operations.

Moving forward, Nanming will continue to upgrade its tourism industry and improve the industrial chain.

Measures will include boosting the development of the nighttime economy, introducing cultural creation projects, improving tourism infrastructure, cultivating leading enterprises in tourism industry and providing financing support for local tourism enterprises.

The second phase of the infrastructure intelligent transformation project of the Nanming River Tourism and Vacation Zone will be further advanced this year.
