Nanming releases economic, social development data

In 2021, the GDP of Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reached 97.77 billion yuan ($14.67 billion), an increase of 6.6 percent over the previous year.

The added value of the primary industry was 124 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, while the added value of the secondary industry came in at 32.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2 percent. The added value of the tertiary industry reached 65.17 million yuan, an increase of 7.9 percent over that in 2020.

The primary, secondary, and tertiary industries accounted for 0.1 percent, 22 percent and 77.9 percent of total economic growth, respectively.

Also in 2021, new projects in the district saw a total of 7.75 billion yuan in funds in place, among which those for industrial projects were valued at 2.20 billion yuan.

The district's consumer goods market continued to prosper, and total retail sales of consumer goods throughout society were valued at 73.89 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.1 percent.

Additionally, Nanming was visited by tourists 26.51 million times last year, a year-on-year increase of 46.7 percent and generating 42.55 billion yuan in tourism revenue, a year-on-year increase of 8.0 percent.

In 2021, the general public budget revenue of the city came in at 2.73 billion yuan, up 6.6 percent year-on-year.

Tax revenue was valued at 2.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 percent, while the general public budget expenditure was 5.67 billion yuan.
