Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will hold a series of activities on tea culture from May 21 to 23.
The aim is to strengthen tea culture education, increase the influence of Guiyang's tea market, and promote the high-quality development of the tea industry in Guizhou province.
According to the plan, a tea feast exhibition, a tea brewing competition, a tea tasting activity and a walking activity will take place at the Jiaxiu Pavilion, Qingyun Market and Qingyun Pedestrian Street over a three-day period.
The tea banquet exhibition will invite tea art experts and well-known tea companies in Guizhou to share various leisure and living styles to teach people about different tea cultures.
The tea brewing competition will use Guizhou-produced green tea to demonstrate tea brewing methods in the province and promote Guizhou tea culture and flavors.
The tea tasting activity and walking activity are meant to improve tea production, sales and consumption promotion platforms and further promote local tea culture.
Since 2007, Nanming has successfully held 14 events to promote tea culture and tea trading.
