In the first quarter of 2022, the GDP of Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, reached 21.37 billion yuan ($3.21 billion), a year-on-year increase of 6.2 percent.
The district's total economic output remained the highest among all districts, county-level cities and counties in Guiyang.
The added value of the primary industry was 21 million yuan, an increase of 4.7 percent over the same period in the previous year, that of the secondary industry came in at 7.24 billion yuan, an increase of 15.1 percent, and that of the tertiary industry reached 14.12 billion yuan, up 2.3 percent.
The added value of the three industries accounted for 0.1 percent, 33.9 percent and 66.0 percent of Nanming's total GDP, respectively.
Furthermore, fixed asset investment in the district increased steadily in the first quarter with a year-on-year increase of 16.5 percent, while its total retail sales of consumer goods reached 17.72 billion yuan, ranking first in Guiyang.
