Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is using the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the China-ASEAN friendly relationship as an opportunity to further expand opening-up and boost high-quality development.

In recent years, a series of activities and forums have been successfully held in Nanming, vividly demonstrating its development strategy.

In 2021 alone, the China-ASEAN Sustainable Development Cooperation Seminar, the China-ASEAN Food Industry Cooperation (Guiyang) Matchmaking Meeting, and the first meeting of the ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Cooperation Committee and China-ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine Product Promotion Conference were held in Nanming.

On May 18, 2021, the RCEP Industrial Cooperation Research Institute and the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Cooperation Committee were officially unveiled in Nanming.

They opened a new chapter in cooperation between Nanming district and RCEP countries in the fields of economy and trade, digital economy, tourism, science and technology, big health and logistics.

In 2021, the actual utilization of foreign capital in Nanming district reached $240.49 million, ranking first among all districts, counties and county-level cities in Guiyang.

Nanming is currently accelerating the construction of the ASEAN Chinese Medicine Foreign Exchange and Cooperation Exhibition Center and the cooperation projects between Guizhou Bailing Enterprise Group Pharmaceutical Co and Malaysia.

Moving forward, Nanming will strive to develop service trade, service outsourcing and cross-border e-commerce.

Its goal is to achieve $25 million in direct utilization of foreign capital throughout the year, and the total value of its foreign trade imports and exports is expected to increase by 30 percent.
