The first third-party medical inspection laboratory in Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently put into use.
The laboratory will mainly be responsible for nucleic acid amplification testing in Nanming.
The Guiyang Yunkang Daan Medical Laboratory was established in the Nanming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in October 2021.
The laboratory was established by Yunkang Health Industry Investment Co, relying on the biomedical testing scientific research and industrialization platform of Sun Yat-sen University and the Guangzhou-based Daan Gene Company, with a total investment of 200 million yuan ($30.01 million) in total.

It currently takes at least 6 hours from the time the specimen is delivered to the laboratory to the time the results are reported.
The laboratory has an average daily sample volume of nearly 4,000 tubes for nucleic acid testing. According to the large-scale screening method of putting 20 people's samples in a tube, it can complete the testing of 1 million samples every day, which has greatly improved the efficiency of nucleic acid testing in Nanming district.
