With the coming of the new semester, a total of four newly-built schools were put into use in Nanming district in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The schools are expected to provide high-quality education for local students and ensure the supply of 5,460 public school enrollment slots.
The new schools are the Jindi Shangyi Primary School, the Guiyang Jianhua Experimental Primary School, the Nanming branch of the Shougang Group No 18 Middle School, and the Qingxiu campus of Dade School.

Additional public kindergartens will also be put into use in Nanming by the end of this year. They are estimated to add 720 enrollment slots.
In recent years, Nanming has continued to increase investment in education and improve its educational quality.
During the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25), Nanming plans to build or renovate around 30 schools in total.
