Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently issued a work plan on boosting the innovative development of its traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) industrial chain.
According to the plan, Nanming will create a new online and offline transaction system, warehousing and logistics system, quality inspection system, financial service system, large database of Chinese herbal medicine, and complete industrial chain traceability system.
It will also boost the construction of the Nanming District Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, and strive to introduce or build regional TCM and ethnic medicine medical centers which meet international standards.
In addition, Nanming plans to help enterprises explore new fields and build new business models.
To this end, 14 key tasks have been set up for Nanming to complete over the coming years.
They include creating a full-life-cycle TCM medical service system to improve the service efficiency of TCM, building a commercial system for TCM agricultural products, promoting new product brands of TCM, and accelerating cooperation with ASEAN companies in the TCM industry.
