Nanming event combines walking, peach blossom viewing

An event combining walking and peach blossom viewing was successfully held in Nanming district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province on March 18 and 19.

The activity was jointly sponsored by the Guizhou Provincial Social Sports Management Center, the Guiyang bureau of sports and the Nanming district people's government and aimed to boost the in-depth integration of sports, agriculture and tourism.

Yongle township is famous for its many peach blossoms, which are best viewed in mid-March.

The walking event has a total length of 6.6 kilometers, and the walking routes pass through the township's charming peach blossom scenic spots.

All registered participants who complete the 6.6-km walk before the closing time at 17:00 received a certificate of completion.

Around 2,000 people participated in the event over the two-day period.
