Nanming district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been making great efforts to promote its high-quality development and further advancement, with steady progress in various indicators seen in the first half of the year.
In the first six months, its regional GDP reached 47.81 billion yuan ($6.82 billion), ranking the district first in the city. It achieved year-on-year growth of 6.3 percent, placing second in the city, indicating the continuous improvement of Nanming's economic development.
The proportion of private investment in fixed assets in Nanming came in at 40.1 percent, with the quality of investment continuously improving.
Meanwhile, the total number of market entities hit 173,252, ranking the district first in the city, showing a year-on-year increase of 13.62 percent.
The total value of foreign trade in Nanming reached 3.72 billion yuan, marking an annual growth of 27.5 percent.
During the same period, the average disposable income of urban permanent residents in Nanming reached 25,563 yuan, placing it first in both the city and the province. And the average monthly pension for urban and rural residents' basic endowment insurance climbed to 308.78 yuan per person.
