Nanming's culture, tourism market thrives during holidays

Nanming district reported a significant increase in the number of tourists and overall tourism income during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays this year.

According to the Nanming bureau of culture, sports, broadcasting, television and tourism, an average occupancy rate of 71.76 percent was recorded among 23 key monitored hotels in the district.

The district's three A-rated scenic spots – Jiaxiu Pavilion, Hebin Park and Guiyang Medicinal Plant Garden – were the preferred choices for family tourism.

Meanwhile, Qingyun Road remained popular among tourists. During the holiday period, approximately 875,700 visits were made to the road, and total sales there reached about 29.35 million yuan ($4.02 million).

In addition to "classic" scenic spots, the newly-opened Cao Zhuangyuan Street also attracted numerous visitors.

The street encompasses a variety of businesses involved in dining, clothing, and cultural creativity. The area held a series of diverse performances during the festival, such as a "mini live house", musical performances, magic shows, and comedic dialogues.

By Oct 7, it had received approximately 257,000 visits and made an estimated 9.68 million yuan in sales.
