Nanming once again ranks among top 100 in tourism competitiveness

Nanming district in Guiyang city secured the eighth spot in the 2023 list of top 100 districts for comprehensive tourism competitiveness, marking its fourth consecutive year in the rankings.

According to reports, the ranking was based on a comprehensive evaluation system comprising 36 indicators across six dimensions, including the level of tourism economic development, government promotion, comprehensive industrial drive, and tourism facilities and services.

As the core area of Guiyang, Nanming boasts abundant ecological, cultural, and scenic resources, characterized by picturesque landscapes and numerous scenic spots.

In recent years, Nanming has focused on enhancing the quality of its tourism services, promoting tourism industrialization from multiple dimensions, advancing the development of its tourism landscape, and attracting waves of visitors.

Nanming's Aha Lake National Wetland Park, the first of its kind in Guiyang, serves as a vital showcase of the city's ecological civilization achievements. It is also a significant platform for realizing ecological values, offering the public a shared green space.

Hebin Park, a nationally AAA-rated scenic spot, is situated in the city center. It not only features amusement facilities, but also showcases natural landscapes and cultural-historical landmarks. It stands as a testament to Guiyang's historical evolution and remains an excellent retreat for those who want to get away from the urban bustle.

Moreover, Nanming has leveraged its floral resources to develop a distinctive eco-tourism industry. During the flower-viewing season in 2023, the district welcomed a total of 1.50 million visits, generating a tourism revenue of 2.22 billion yuan ($296 million).

In 2023, Nanming received a total of 27.24 million domestic tourists. With an average expenditure of 1,638.40 yuan per visitor, the district's total tourism revenue reached 42.13 billion yuan.
