Nanming accelerates development of new quality productive forces

Nanming district in Guiyang is propelling forward a modern industrial system centered around new quality productive forces, with a focus on electronic information manufacturing and a distinctive biotechnology industry.

Microview Electronics Guizhou Co in Nanming is a good example of how to effectively develop electronic information.

Within the exhibition hall of the company located in the Nanming Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, shelves neatly display various product samples, while staff seamlessly update product prices and information on electronic tags with a simple touch of their tablet devices.

Lyu Qihong, vice general manager of research and development at Microview Electronics Guizhou Co, said that a significant portion, about 70 percent to 80 percent, of electronic paper products seen in domestic and international markets such as shelf tags, e-readers, electronic table cards, and electronic badges, are produced by his company.

The company, which was one of the first domestic manufacturers of electronic paper display modules, relocated from Shenzhen to Nanming in December 2022.

The company built a Class 1,000 cleanroom workshop and acquired fully automated production equipment, specializing in the production of electronic paper display modules under 7.8 inches for applications in smart retail, transportation, healthcare, education, and logistics.

From January to May this year, the company produced 3.4 million electronic paper display modules worth 171 million yuan ($23.42 million).

Lyu mentioned that the company receives orders from America, the UK, France, and Austria, while domestic demand is also increasing. The company aims to achieve a production value of 600 million yuan and a capacity of 15 million pieces by the end of 2024.
