In the 2024 Nanming District Government Work Report, a commitment was made to continually upgrade consumer experiences and increase the supply of high-quality products and services, aiming to unleash the full potential of consumer spending.
"We focus on differentiated and collaborative development in our commercial zones to avoid homogeneous competition," said Yi Lei, deputy director of the Nanming commerce bureau.
The six major commercial zones – Guiyang Railway Station, Dananmen, Huaguoyuan, Dashizi, Hebin, and Guigang – each have distinct functions and positioning.
The Guiyang Railway Station commercial zone will enhance the integration of commercial facilities with rail transit, pioneering a transit-oriented development (TOD) urban commercial model.
Leveraging historical and cultural attractions like Jiaxiu Tower, Qianming Temple, and Wang Boqun's Former Residence, the Dananmen zone will emphasize the fusion of culture, tourism, and commerce.
Huaguoyuan, noted for its large scale and youthful consumer base, will focus on becoming the "urban youth social center," with landmarks like the Twin Towers and Boyang Art International Exchange Center as must-visit spots.
Furthermore, the Binhe zone will prioritize an international and experiential feel, while the Dashizi zone aims to establish itself as a new core commercial landmark and fashion consumption hub.
Additionally, the Guigang zone will develop into a new urban lifestyle center, ensuring that all commercial zones complement and enhance each other for mutual growth and prosperity.
