Nanming achieves remarkable development in big data industry

As the core area of Guiyang, the provincial capital of Guizhou, Nanming district has made significant strides in recent years by advancing its strategic big data initiatives.

With a focus on developing the software and information technology service industry, the district has been driving the integration of big data with the real economy.

In 2023, Nanming facilitated the integration of over 800 real economy enterprises with big data, achieving a fusion rate of 64.02, surpassing the provincial average. The scale of the digital economy industry in the entire district reached 4.75 billion yuan ($136.99 million), ranking second in the province.

That same year, the Guizhou branch of the National Supercomputing Guangzhou Center was established, and the vocational education project in Nanming's digital economy aggregation area was launched.

In 2024, Nanming is nurturing new quality productive forces to build new competitive advantages for development.

From January to June, the revenue from the internet and related services in Nanming amounted to 720 million yuan, showing a 6.5 percent increase from the previous year. Revenue from software and information technology services reached 1.48 billion yuan, a 12.35 percent increase from the previous year.
