Nanming Big Data Training Base boosts talent development

The Nanming Big Data Training Base in Nanming district of Guiyang is a place brimming with vitality.

Managed by Nanming Smart Industry Service Operation Company, the base was initiated by Nanming district to foster a digital economic cluster.

It has a total investment of 242 million yuan ($33.15 million) and will cover an area of 12,000 square meters, offering training in over 30 specialized fields such as digital animation, virtual reality technology, film special effects and e-commerce operations.

The base aims to establish an integrated talent development service system that combines online and offline training.

The base primarily focuses on the integration of industry and education. Following the path of "dual nurturing (schools + companies), dual identity (students + employees), dual high standards (high-standard training hardware + high-standard training resources), and dual matching (profession + position)", it strives to integrate industry and education to promote more comprehensive and high-quality employment opportunities.

Through collaborations with industry-leading enterprises like NetEase, the base will connect cutting-edge technologies, real-world cases and educational resources to align training content with industry demands.

"This project aims to cultivate highly-skilled technical talents that meet market demands through the establishment of a new model of industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation, injecting fresh vitality into the industry and fostering industrial upgrading and economic development," explained Xie Yuchun, general manager of Nanming Smart Industry Service Operation Co.

Meticulous effort was put into the construction of the training classrooms, where the base has created a series of distinctly-themed training rooms.

These rooms not only provide students with practical training environments but also guide them towards advancing into cutting-edge fields such as big data, digital content production, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing.
