Favorable business environment brings projects to Nanming

In recent years, Nanming district has placed strong emphasis on attracting major projects and businesses, yielding remarkable results in 2024.

Last year, the district attracted 65 new projects with a total investment of 13.49 billion yuan ($1.86 billion). Its efforts to attract businesses have created a vibrant atmosphere of growth, driving high-quality development.

One of the key highlights in 2024 was the swift establishment of Guizhou Waima Technology Co, an instant beverage retail brand under online services giant Meituan.

This high-profile company's relocation to Nanming is a testament to the district's efficient handling of projects.

The entire process, from initial negotiations to the company's official establishment, took just seven days, thanks to the quick approvals and project setup. Local officials proudly refer to this as "Nanming Speed" and "Nanming Efficiency", emphasizing the district's commitment to excellent service.

Nanming continues to focus on key sectors such as construction, commerce, and business services, while attracting central and provincial State-owned enterprises and industry leaders.

The district has also targeted key areas like the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the Yangtze River Delta for investment opportunities. District leaders are actively engaging with enterprises, visiting major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen to discuss investment and potential projects.

In 2024, these efforts resulted in agreements for 23 projects being signed, with a total investment of 7.36 billion yuan. Through diverse investment strategies, including industry chain and central enterprise-focused approaches, Nanming is seeing growing success in attracting investment, convincing over 120 enterprises to engage in site visits and discussions. The district is also building a strong foundation with new digital industries and intelligent manufacturing parks.
