During the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Nanming district, Guiyang welcomed approximately 910,000 visitors, a 12-percent year-on-year increase. This surge in tourism brought in an impressive 750 million yuan ($109.9 million) in revenue.

Popular landmarks such as Jiaxiu Pavilion, Hebin Park, and the Guiyang Medicinal Botanical Garden proved to be popular destinations, attracting a combined 67,000 tourists. Jiaxiu Pavilion alone recorded a peak daily footfall of 8,540 visitors.

In addition to traditional flower-viewing and spring outings, "light travel" and "micro-vacations" were defining trends of this year's holiday. Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street, a cultural hotspot in the city, introduced immersive experiences to enhance visitor engagement. The street saw a peak of 121,000 visitors in a single day, with total holiday spending exceeding 2.36 million yuan.

Tourism-driven consumption upgrades also boosted the hospitality sector. Ten star-rated hotels across the district hosted 6,800 guests during the holiday, achieving an average occupancy rate of 69 percent and generating 2.38 million yuan in revenue – a 75-percent year-on-year increase.

On the day of Qingming alone, hotel occupancy reached 74 percent, bringing in 790,000 yuan, up 66 percent from the previous year.
