Guiyang's first community urban study room welcomes 150,000 visitors

Since opening on Oct 1, 2023, the Guanghe Urban Study Room in Guiyang city's Nanming district has become a cultural cornerstone for the local community, receiving nearly 150,000 visitors and lending over 20,000 books.

As Guiyang's first community-based urban study room, the facility spans approximately 400 square meters and is thoughtfully designed to cater to different age groups. It features a scenic reading area, a cozy space for children and seniors, and a quiet zone for students.

With a curated collection of over 10,000 books, the study room updates its selection monthly with 200 to 300 new titles. Topics range from economics and current affairs to health and education, offering readers a diverse and engaging literary experience.

Equipped with smart self-service machines for borrowing, returning, card registration, and book sterilization, the study room combines modern convenience with community spirit. Serving as a grassroots hub of public cultural services, the Guanghe Urban Study Room has quickly become a beloved "spiritual granary" right on residents' doorsteps.
