The 2025 Spring Guqin Gathering opened at Nanming district's Cuiwei Garden on April 23, blending classical music, cultural dialogue, and immersive experiences to promote the living transmission of intangible cultural heritage.

The event featured performances, interactions, and conversations. Three carefully curated experiences – Melodies in the Air, Immersive Encounters, and Tea & Guqin Dialogues – invited participants into the poetic world of traditional Chinese culture.

Renowned guqin masters performed classics such as Pingsha Luoyan, Guanshanyue and Liangxiaoyin. Interactive zones offered hands-on experiences, from basic guqin instruction to silk-string making demonstrations. A tea ceremony artist recreated tea-whisking rituals from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), harmonizing scent and sound in a refined tribute to literati gatherings.

Drawing over 300 people, the event not only revitalized ancient traditions in a modern setting but also transformed the Ming-era garden into a vibrant stage for cultural innovation, where history and contemporary life converged in quiet resonance.
