Guiyang's Nanming district has been recognized as one of China's Top 100 Urban Districts for Tourism in the National Urban Tourism Research Report, released during the 2025 World Brand Moganshan Conference on May 11 in Huzhou, Zhejiang province.

As a historic core of Guiyang, Nanming is the birthplace of the city's urban history and a hub of education, notable figures, and historical landmarks.

Iconic sites, including Jiaxiu Pavilion, the former site of Dade School, and the Dai Yunshan Villa, form a foundation for Nanming's thriving tourism industry. The district has been repeatedly featured in the national top 100 for its comprehensive tourism strength.

Nanming has taken measures to boost the development of its culture and tourism industries. By promoting projects like the "Five Major Cultural Initiatives," the district has deepened the integration of cultural, tourism, sports, business, and digital sectors.

Urban renewal has also played a key role, with Nanming transforming old neighborhoods and backstreets into vibrant tourism destinations. Pedestrian zones, such as Qingyun Road and Cao Zhuangyuan Cultural Block, blend cultural heritage with commerce and cuisine, boosting tourism appeal and enriching Guiyang's visitor experience.
