Nanming wins 18 medals at traditional martial arts open

Guiyang's Namming district achieved impressive results at the National Traditional Martial Arts Open (Guizhou Division), earning a total of 18 medals, four gold, six silver, and eight bronze. This strong showing highlighted the district's impressive martial arts talent and contributed to the growth of martial arts in Guiyang.

The competition attracted 66 teams and 840 athletes from across the region.

Representing Namming, a 10-member team from the district's Taichi Quan Association participated in the event.

Among them, 77-year-old Wang Peibin stood out as a true star. His graceful movements and spirited performance captivated the audience. Wang claimed two gold medals in the men's senior group (Group E) for Wudang taichi quan (a form of martial art) and Wudang taichi sword.
