The "Passionate Village BA · Joyful Guizhou Tour" cultural exchange program concluded on July 12 at Guiyang Nanming Jiaxiu Senior Middle School, bringing together students from Richard Montgomery High School in the United States and local youths in Guizhou.
The event featured displays of ethnic Miao, Bouyei, and Dong dances, alongside interactive experiences such as dragon dancing and face-changing performances that immersed American participants in Chinese traditions.
"From the energetic Village BA basketball games to exploring Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Guizhou's cultural richness has been impressive," shared Melissa Brown, an American student delegate. The program, which uses sports and folk arts as bridges, fostered deep cross-cultural connections between young people.
Certificates were awarded at the closing ceremony as students exchanged laughter, sowing the seeds of lasting friendships. The initiative showcased Guizhou's open, diverse culture while strengthening connections between Chinese and American youth.
