Nanming unveils vibrant summer tourism with 107 events

As a key hub for the integration of culture, tourism, and sports in Guizhou province, Guiyang's Nanming district is launching 107 events for the 2025 summer tourism season, offering visitors an immersive and refreshing getaway.

Nine themed travel routes provide a variety of exploration options. Highlights include the "City Memory" and "City Wall Trail" routes, which connect landmarks like the Jiaxiu Pavilion Cultural Belt and Qingyun Cultural and Commercial Zone.

The district has also rolled out its "Sports into Scenic Spots, Business Zones, and Communities" initiative. Events such as a basketball competition in scenic areas, tug-of-war contests in shopping districts, and table tennis matches in neighborhoods infuse local tourism with dynamic sports elements, creating a fully integrated "Sports + In-Depth Tourism" experience.

Street music adds to the charm. The growing roadside concert program includes five regular performance sites – such as Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street and Caozhuangyuan Cultural Street – blending street art with urban exploration and giving Nanming a new cultural tourism identity.

Cultural learning activities offer deeper insight. The "Tracing the Nanming City Wall: A Journey Through History and Poetry" program guides visitors along historic walking trails to discover Nanming's rich heritage and timeless charm.
