Nanming's GDP tops 54.5b yuan in H1 of 2025

In the first half of 2025, Guiyang's Nanming district witnessed rapid economic and industrial development.

During the period, its GDP reached 54.53 billion yuan ($7.61 billion), ranking first in Guiyang. Industrial output above designated size grew 12.2 percent year-on-year, while retail sales, wholesale sales, accommodation revenue, and catering revenue all continued to lead the city. Internet and software revenues above designated size hit 2.72 billion yuan, up 16.5 percent.

Focusing on electronic information manufacturing and biotechnology, the district has refined its work systems to accelerate the shift toward high-end, green, and smart industries. It recorded 6.84 billion yuan in industrial output above designated size and 2.01 billion yuan in the output of added value. Authorities resolved project bottlenecks, promoted early starts and production, visited 134 industrial enterprises, addressed 23 business concerns, added 164,300 square meters of standard factory space, and attracted 587 new manufacturing professionals.

Nanming also enhanced its specialty street brands, developing integrated cultural, commercial, and tourism consumption scenes by linking day and night economies. Through events focusing on music, markets, intangible cultural heritage, and cuisine, it boosted spending and visitor engagement.

In H1 2025, Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street welcomed 10.48 million visitors and saw sales of 375 million yuan, while Cao Zhuangyuan Street attracted 2.05 million visitors and recorded sales of 110 million yuan.
