As one of Guiyang's key hubs for big data development, Nanming district is accelerating its digital transformation through new infrastructure, industrial digitalization, digital industries, digital governance, and data valorization.
In the first half of 2025, Nanming's internet and software firms above designated size reported 2.27 billion yuan ($316.16 million) in revenue, up 18.66 percent year-on-year, among the highest growth rates in Guiyang.
Meanwhile, emerging players in artificial intelligence labeling, original IP, and digital content generated a combined 900 million yuan, establishing themselves as new growth drivers for the regional economy.
Nanming's digital industry once focused mainly on software development and information integration. With the advancement of the "New Digital Industry Cluster Zone" plan, the district's industrial structure has shifted from "traditional and singular" to "diverse and collaborative", now centering on AI, industrial internet, and smart cities.
The Huaguoyuan area has rapidly emerged as a hotspot for digital enterprises. By linking upstream and downstream companies along the industrial chain, traditional sectors such as system integration and software development are transitioning toward AI, achieving integrated growth.
In 2024, the district welcomed the establishment of the "Guizhou Software Park" and saw the Asia-Pacific Center recognized as a Guiyang-Gui'an digital industry demonstration building, marking significant milestones in industrial transformation.
Nanming's leap in scale is powered by enterprise innovation and technological breakthroughs. A growing number of high-tech firms and specialized "little giant" enterprises are driving the shift from isolated achievements to industrial clusters, reflecting the district's improving digital ecosystem.
At Guizhou Zhonghui Technology Co, nearly 200 employees – 65 percent of them technical specialists – are pushing the frontier of smart governance. Its AI-powered "Intelligent Judicial Document Analysis Platform" has been widely adopted in legal technology, while its public-interest litigation command system and paperless government software are in use across multiple provinces, fueling intelligent justice and digital government nationwide.
