On Sept 20, the second Guizhou-Taiwan Youth Street Dance Exchange was held at Huaguoyuan Shopping Center in Guiyang's Nanming district. Street dance enthusiasts from both sides shared the stage, showcasing talent and friendship while celebrating youth and cross-Strait cultural ties.
With pounding beats, flashing lights, and electrifying moves, dancers delivered performances that were bold, graceful, and powerful. The audience swayed to the rhythm, capturing every highlight on their phones.
The event aimed to use street dance as a bridge for dialogue, deepening friendships between young people from Guizhou and Taiwan while injecting fresh energy into cultural exchanges. Ten dancers from Taiwan's West Coast Street Dance Alliance joined local performers in the showcase.
Taiwan dancer Coco said, "The cool weather in Guiyang is great, and I'm so happy to meet dancers here. I hope to have more chances to connect in the future". Guizhou dancer Huang Shiyu added, "It was amazing to perform with our friends from Taiwan. Everyone had fun, learned a lot, and forged new bonds".
