Guiyang Chinese New Year shopping festival launched

The 6th Guiyang Southwest International Trade City Chinese New Year Shopping Festival opened on Jan 10, featuring 150 exhibition booths filled with high-quality products.

This year's festival has been comprehensively upgraded in terms of both scale and services. It retains the usual popular wholesale and bulk-purchase advantages while optimizing the retail experience with greater precision. Three new featured exhibition areas have been added: Hall 1, Hall 3, and the outdoor central square area. These sections are clearly partitioned to make shopping more convenient and efficient.

Hall 1 focuses on Chinese New Year apparel, Hall 3 focuses on high-quality children's clothing, while the outdoor central square exhibition area is themed around various Guizhou specialty products for Chinese New Year. Residents can shop according to their needs, saving both time and effort.

In anticipation of high customer traffic before and after Spring Festival, organizers have carefully optimized support services: temporary parking areas have been added, with guides helping to park vehicles in an orderly manner, and residents are encouraged to prioritize green transportation options like public transit or carpooling. Rest and service points offering free hot water and seating have been set up near the exit of each hall, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free shopping experience.

In addition to products and discounts, the festival also offers interactive activities. Starting Jan 24, every Saturday and Sunday will feature free interactive activities like solving lantern riddles. Residents can participate by simply signing in on-site.

These traditional customs, combined with engaging games, cater to all ages, creating a lively atmosphere where residents can immerse themselves in the Chinese New Year spirit and enjoy some delightful surprises.
