Guiyang's Nanming district recorded a surge in tourism and spending during the spring break and the Qingming Festival holiday, converting seasonal visitor traffic into consumption growth.
During the holiday period, four A-level scenic spots and two featured commercial streets in the district received a total of about 1.16 million visitors, generating 15.37 million yuan ($2.24 million) in tourism-related consumption.
To boost cultural and tourism integration, the district rolled out a series of interactive events tailored to visitors' needs.
At Qingyun Market, activities such as kite-making, traditional games, and spring concerts offered immersive experiences, while Caozhuangyuan Street launched a spring promotion season with discounts offered by participating merchants. The two areas became popular consumption hotspots during the holiday.
Tourist sites across the district remained busy, with major attractions operating smoothly. Scenic areas, including Jiaxiu Pavilion, Guiyang Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants, Hebin Park, and Huaguoyuan, saw strong visitor flows.
