On International Museum Day on May 18, Guizhou Ethnic Museum in Nanming district launched a cultural program that combines ancient artifacts with modern interactive experiences, offering visitors a lively and engaging way to explore traditional culture.

Six themed exhibitions showcased the richness of regional and global heritage. Displays of Miao silver ornaments and Dong embroidery highlighted ethnic craftsmanship, while exhibits on the Maritime Silk Road traced centuries of trade and cultural exchanges. A global zodiac exhibition featuring horse-themed artworks added a playful contemporary touch.

Beyond traditional displays, immersive activities were a key attraction. Visitors enjoyed ring-toss games, tried lacquer fan painting, explored tin engraving, and experienced other hands-on intangible cultural heritage crafts, bringing traditional skills to life.

To enhance engagement further, the museum introduced social media-friendly photo spots, a themed mascot "Minxiaobo" sticker set, and an AI-powered guide robot, creating a blend of culture, fun, and technology.

The event attracted many young visitors, turning the museum into a popular cultural destination that connects heritage with modern urban life.
